Park Days

Here are a few fun pictures from our baike ride to the park. Hope you like them!

I wanna be in a rock and roll band...

Our dreams here are all rock and roll baby.... For Christmas our family got a Wii which we totally are enjoying. Possibly our favorite game, ok absolutely our favorite game is Rock Band. It's not uncommon for Scott and I to play when the kids are in bed (Micah has told us we've kept him up singing before, AWESOME!), play with the kids or have friends and their kids over to play. We are REALLY enjoying it! Here's a few pictures of our soon to be stars.

Strange little cat

The other night we had some friends from church over for dinner. Lauren was changing her clothes and only wanted to wear a full cat costume.... She played in it, ate in it, would have slep in it if we let her....
Here's also a picture of the "SCOTT SPECIAL". Lauren loves to ask him to do her hair in three ponies, this is what she gets!
These pictures were taken during a wild and crazy dance party. Lauren likes the classics and Micah likes the music hard and fast... They can't decide on the same song or style of dancing. Micah favors robot stylings while Lauren's dancing is quite girly.

Sunny, snowless days

I guess if you live in San Diego you're used to weather like in these pictures... actually this day was probably chillier than normal but it was beautiful and fun to be outside for the entire afternoon. These pictures are from a day spent at La Jolla shores. We flew a kite, observed the sea lions and tide pools and had a adventure with a dangerously close and tame pelican.

Disneyland

For Christmas, Grandma and Papa Hollady sent our family to Disneyland for a day.We had a great, full day. It was packed but we somehow got to ride 15 things! All the big ones like the 3 mountains, Pirates, Samll World, Buzz lightyear... lots of things. It was AWESOME! The highlight for Micah was fighting Darth Vader and becoming a real Jedi. He was the smallest in his "class" but had no problem defeating the dark side! Lauren got to meet her 3 favorite princesses, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Cinderella. They all talked to her, asked her what her name was and told her she was beautiful. It was so cute! She talked right back like they were real. Thanks for a great day! It was magical, no need to say more!

Christmas Morning...

Well, we had a great Christmas in San Diego. It wasn't as warn as we thought it might be but the rain and chill made it feel like Christmas. I think the day was a hit... It's easy to make a 4 and 2 year old very happy on Christmas morning. Especially when they realize that most of the presents under the tree are for them! All Micah wanted was the Bat Cave and mini transformers. Lauren modestly requested a Barbie and a babydoll. They were both happy on Christmas. Here are a couple pictures...
There's also a picture of our homemade Gingerbread house which impressively is still standing! I missed getting the one from Costco so baked and assembled our own gingerbread.
Oh, one other, here's a picture of the kids on Santa's lap at preschool. Lauren surprised us by jumping right on with a big smile. All year she's been telling us as she shakes her head, "I no sit on Santa's lap!" so it was a big surprise! I guess Micah was doing it so she knew it was ok.
