Sunshine

Living in Northern California can be warm. So far, we're beating the heat but it'sheading towards 100 degrees this weekend. Being pregnant makes this not so fun. We spend a lot of time at the pool. Ok, we're there like everyday. It's pretty ridiculous but that's all summer means to the kids. Micah is about to finish two weeks of swimming lessons making him even more competent int he water and Lauren loves her water wings. She told me yesterday she's a big girl and only swims int he big pool. I'll tell you someone else who's a big girl- me in a bathing suit. I won't scare you alla way from this blog by posting a picture of my enormous stomach in a bathing suit... not a pretty sight.

Let me tell you a secret!

This is how Lauren scams the boys... She pretends to tell them a secret but they really get a kiss!

Scribbles

I fell asleep and had a late nap... I was pretty out of it. Check out what I found on my stomach when I woke up! Thanks Dad and Micah for a good laugh :)
Love, Lauren

Sun babies...

There are two things we do in summer. Swim and sit by the pool when it's too cold. The kids seem to think this is the MOST fun activity possible so we are there just about everyday M-F with friends. Even Lauren is really enjoying it this year. Check it out.

Museum fun

Well, summer also means more time for the Children's Museum. For Lauren, this is as good as Disneyland. Our museum is the "little museum" and Grandma Cindy's museum is the "big museum". She asks every time which one we're going to. Micah trys explaining to her that the "big museum" is in Wisconsin but she doesn't really get the concept. She LOVES the museum. It's probably because to her it is equated with meeting friends- especially her friend Ethan. She also likes the short toilets and toddler sized sinks...

The proper care and feeding of goldfish...

May Sushi rest peacefully...
Micah prays everyday for Sushi. He says this will always keep him in his heart, now that he's passed away. He says he's in heaven with his ( Sushi #2's) Grandpa (I think of him as Sushi #1). I think he'll have a lot of goldfish waiting for him on the other side. For now there is a nice memorian in the backyard tended to by these two daily. I hope I inspire them enough to visit my grave everyday someday :)
Our trach record isn't so good. Average lifespan- 10 days. We do currently have a Sushi that's been alive for a whole month! Not too bad, I guess we're learning something.

Diving for?

The other day the kids got in the bath... they are very anxious for swimming season to start. Can you tell??? Yes, goggles and full suits...

Preschool Art Show

Well, school has finally come to an end. If you ask Micah, it's party time! Summer is all about swimming and hanging out... way better than school! Here's a picture of his Self Portrait at the Ice Cream Social Art Show, alligators! Also a picture of the quilt square he made for his teacher's quilt.
