Goodbye CA!

One last post:
Here's a cute picture of Micah with Scott's cousin's kids. They all have LOTS of fun together and welcome Micah and Lauren like they are always there! The kids miss you!!!(L to R: Luke, Ty, Micah, Tressa, Whitney, Lauren, Mason, Cassidy (front))
And just one last funny picture, Lauren floating in Mindi'd pool...

We're going to the beach....

This is our official last vacation post... we're caught up on a trip we've been back from for three weeks, very funny! We spent a couple of great days at the beach. I personally, as did everyone else, feel we could ahve stayed on vacation another week to enjoy and indulge. Something about a sunny day, fun food, good company and endless entertainment for the kids makes the beach the perfect place to go. Ah, to be back again! We'll have to wait for next summer!
Here are some pictures of:
Micah and Luke hanging out at the beach...
Some of the Holladay clan...
Some of the kids and Micah at the beach...
Micah boogie boarding surf style...
Lauren eating watermelon and sand I'm sure...

Legoland

One of our fun stops in So. Cal. was Legoland. I thinkt his is one of the best places for families with little kids. We had a great time riding the rides and seeing the Lego sculptures. We also visited their new aquarium, which to the kids excitement, had sharks! That's a new favorite thing around here. Micah, and subsequently Lauren since she copies Micah all the time, can't get enough. you think this would have posed some hesitation for time at the beach but thankfully it didn't!

Hanging with the Wilsons!

On our trip in the West (even though we actually headed East) we also got to meet up with Grandma and Papa Wilson for a couple of days. The kids also got to see their Aunts Miriam, Manda and Marcia. Here are a few pictures. We enjoyed the Provo Dinosaur Museum, The Olympic closing ceremonys, a relaxing visit with the Larsen family, the Downeast Outlet, BYU campus and a yummy lunch at Los Hermanos. Not bad for a day and a half!

First Day of School!!!

Monday was a great day, Micah's first day at real preschool! He goes to a WONDERFUL school with fantastic teachers and students. We feel very lucky that he's there and he's happy to be there too! He goes three afternoons a week for 3 hours... Lauren only wishes that she went too. Today I told her that Micah was going to school and she said, "No Micah, no school. No preschool!". She can't wait until we go to pick him up. She runs in, yells Micah and runs for a hug. It's very cute. Here area couple of pictures.

Wedding bliss

Alex (scott's brother) has a new Bride. Her name is Hayley, now Holladay formerly Jensen, and we just love her. We're very happy to have her as part of her family although I think Lauren is a little jealous....

Here is a pretty picture of our kids getting married.... and making out... not really, it just looks that way!

No wedding would be complete without alittle horsing around, courteosy of our Micah and his pal Luke.

Our Journey West...

We're back from our long and very exciting trip. We made a perfect triangle of sorts, Stockton to Salt Lake for Alex's wedding, A stop in Parowan to visit longtime friends the Croketts on the way to San Diego and then after a week or much needed (and deserved) R&R a drive back to Stockton. I'll be posting slowly, there's lots to cover! For today- a picture of our old friends the Crocketts. Scott and Crockett (or Mike as he is now known) met as roommates in Coventry Apartments. They moved together to the Elms where Scott and I met and eventually got married. Scott and i actually went with Mike and his wife Alissa on their first date. Now a few years later... 5 kids between the two of us. We spent a very fun evening and morning catching up and letting the kids get acquainted. Thanks for the hospitality Crocketts, you're the best! Here are a few "old pictures" and the new for your viewing enjoyment. Ah, the good old days!
