Fun at Papa Russ and Grandma Cindy's house

These are a few misc. pictures from the Wilson's house. The first two are of Micah playing with the rocket sprinkler with Uncle Dan. Next is a cute picture of Micah at Red Robin with a funny hat (the table topper for the menu at the restaurant). Then there is a picture of Micah with Miriam and a picture of Maralee and Lauren. Last is a picture of Micah in the "transformer car", or convertible as the rest of us call it. He got to ride in it on a date with Miriam to McDonald's for a happy meal!

The Plane Trip

So... we all made it to Wisconsin in one piece! Two kids, 6 suitcases, 2 car seats, a stroller and other misc. gear. One layover and one big delay, the President flew into Minneapolis with Air Force One so we were delayed to land for an hour because he had to take off... but none the less we made it. It is ironic, Micah was SO GOOD on the airplane, Lauren in our wild child. She can't sit still for her life but that just adds to her charm, ask the people sitting behind us on the plane! This as I'm reading an article in my parenting magazine about how much easier it is to travel with a baby over traveling with a toddler... go figure!

The Nauvoo Temple

Some highlights of our fun trip to Nauvoo! Were there for two days but we managed to squeeze in a wedding, a trip for Mom and Dad to do a session at the temple, visits to the Bakery, Blacksmith Shop, Brickyard, The Trail of Tears, we played pionerr children's games, we took a Ox Cart ride, saw the Nauvoo Brass Band and visited the Old Nauvoo Cemetery where Scott's relatives are buried. Waterslide MANIA!!!

Check out our trip to Noah's Ark.... supposedly the biggest waterpark in the US. Lauren went on a couple slides (not her favorite) and Micah went on most of them, he had the best day of his life, honestly. These pictures are a couple highlights if you don't watch the slideshow.

Reading is FUN-DA-MENTAL.... ok, maybe I'm not right in the head to take two little ones tromping all over town, all day long, everyday but we sure have fun. Even the library is fun for these two kids. Lauren loves to climb the shelves and pull any loose books of the shelf that she can. Micah is really taken to "reading" and telling us stories. His favorite are books about trains and other "vehicles". Lauren can't sit still long enough to listen, she's WAY too busy!

Is Lauren always naked... maybe. Between all the swimming and bathing she's lucky to get dressed sometime! Micah and Lauren are best friends, it's sure nice to have two kids that love each other so much. This picture of Lauren sleeping is so cute, of course she's naked. Truth be told, it's too hot for clothes here sometimes and anyone would be nude if they could! Lauren likes to nap on her stomach with her bum in the air, like a stinkbug. It's pretty cute.

So, our summers consist of a lot of water... lots of swimming and subsequently LOTS of baths!!! Micah's favorite pool treat is a ring pop... I try to convince him his tongue might stay blue but he still doesn't believe me!
